Regional Trade Union Programme

Through its regional trade union project, FES pursues the following objectives:

  • Strengthening regional trade union structures in the MENA region, with support for women’s and youth networks.
  • Promoting regional cooperation among unions and developing strategies on socio-economic issues such as social security, migration, informal sector, and climate change.
  • Enhancing knowledge of workers’ rights through e-learning tools.

To implement our projects we collaborate with:

  • Members and young activists of national and sub-regional trade unions.
  • Civil society organizations representing citizens and workers.
  • Policy makers and experts influencing labor and social rights.

Planned activities include conferences, workshops, publications, dialogue, and modern learning tools like animated videos and infographics. FES partners with ATUC (Arab Trade Union Confederation) and Global Union Federations (GUFs), along with the ITUC and TUAC, to connect national trade unions at the international level.
