Young Leaders’ Regional Conference

A regional conference, which recently took place in Rabat/Morocco between the 25th and the 28th of July, addressed the challenges of climate change.
In light of the upcoming negotiations in Marrakech (COP22) this activity brought together 20 Young Leaders from nine countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Together with experts, CSO activists the participants discussed the effects of climate change, the promotion of renewable energies and the role of civil society in advancing sustainable development and climate action.

The group also participated in an interactive workshop, which was facilitated by the organization Planpolitik and which dealt with the results of the framework agreement of the COP21 in Paris in 2015 and the implications of the next summit COP22 in Marrakech in 2016.
