Mariem as the Program officer of the ‘Economic Policies for Social Justice’ regional program carries out tasks ranging between administrative and coordination functions necessary to the overall success of the programs and activities, act as a liaison with different stakeholders (partners/experts and researchers) and service providers, draft their contracts ,organize seminars/training sessions or conferences and webinars with the help of the logistics department.
Furthermore, as the Project’s Communication Focal Point she is in charge of producing outreach content of past or pending activities to the Communication department.
Mariem holds a master's degree in Common Law from the Carthage University and a bachelor of Laws from the University of Sousse. Her Master thesis titled “The Filibuster Rule: a comparative approach” which focused on the parliamentary obstruction in Tunisia in the period 2014-2021. Mariem has conducted a number of trainings and capacity development projects in the fields: Youth Empowerment and Migration policies in the Mediterranean area and was recently selected to be a part of the “7Th MED YOUTH MEETING” in Reggio Calabria, Italy in June 2024,.
She Joined FES in March 2022 first as an intern and worked on human rights and trade unions’ projects.
Mariem has over 5 years’ experience in volunteer work and civic engagement projects; and is passionate about reshaping society mainly through the rule of law and human rights.
