Networking between young trade unionists

For the first time, young unionists from the German Unions Confederation (DGB) and members of the Youth network of the Arab Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) were gathered in November, from 16 to 18, 2016 in Tunis.

Organized by FES, this meeting was under the theme of migration from young unionists’ point of view. It was also an occasion for the participants to discuss the reasons and the consequences of migration, to exchange unionists’ experiences and to elaborate a plan to strengthen the cooperation between German and Arab young trade unions.

After 3 days of intense work, the representatives of Arab and German unions established common positions as a call to the central trade unions to support and promote of the representatives of youth and in these structures and expressed their will to continue the exchange between Germany and the Arab region.
