Training for female Trade Unionist

In the context of strengthening the capacity of female trade unionist and improving their management skills in the union work, and in line with the work of the first session in 2017, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation - Regional Trade Union Program in partnership with the General Federation of Trade Unions of Bahrain and the General Union of Workers of Oman, organized a 3-day capacity-building training on campaigning and communication on social networks from 2nd to 4th of April 2018 in Manama/Bahrain.

The training was covering several areas dealing with trade unions work: the analysis of gender issues in the workplace, the analysis and planning of campaigns: how to prioritize? and finally how to use social network to mobilize for the campaign.

At the end of this training, women trade unionists in Bahrain and Oman gained new soft skills in order to be more efficient in their work as trade unionist. The training contribute to enhance the participation of women at trade union work and improve their performance.
